Garden Square Chocolatier was born just steps from Central Park in Pella—once called Garden Square, a space gifted to our town by founder Dominie Scholte for gathering and celebration.

As a girl, I'd visit the old Soda Jerk here with my grandma for a chocolate milkshake, and dreamed of one day owning a business in those same four walls. Today that dream lives on just across the street from the original Garden Square, through Thistles Flower Market and Garden Square Chocolatier.

Inspired by the rhythm of the seasons and the joy of sharing something sweet, our European-style chocolates and hand-decorated cookies are hand-crafted in small batches right here in Pella—each one reflecting the beauty of the garden that inspired our name.
